About Coach Izumi
Coach Izumi truly understand values of coaching to train efficiently and effectively. She was a single mom working full-time with second job when she did her first sprint triathlon race in 2008 that sparked some excitement in her. Since then, she figured out how to put training blocks into her busy lifestyle. She put a high value in communication between athletes and coach for the success of the athletes as well as success of the coach to bring the best of the athletes.
She has been a fitness and yoga instructor for almost 2 decades and helps her athletes to understand the importance of strength training and mindfulness exercises to improve overall fitness. She also has avid interests in nutrition and is constantly learning updated information how food can heal our body and reverse some lifestyle disease like diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. She also loves cooking and enjoy trying out new recipes. She believes we all can improve not only our athletic performance but also overall health by wisely choosing the food we eat everyday.
Her mission is to support every athlete to set athletic goals, improve fitness and achieve the goals, which enhance all aspect of his/her life. She believes in Ironman’s mantra, “Anything is Possible” if you set your mind to it. She is also well connected to network of triathletes and endurance athletes in the community and encourages her athletes to find a tribe to train hard but also to have fun together.

- Boston Marathon Finisher in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2019
- Boston 2 Big Sur Marathons in 2019
- Ironman Chattanooga 2nd place in AG in 2015 & 2019
- Raleigh 70.3, New Orleans 70.3 and Ironman Canada 2nd place in AG in 2018
- Ironman Cozumel 1st place in AG in 2020
- Chattanooga 70.3 World Championship Finisher in 2017
- St. George 70.3 World Championship Finisher in 2021
- Ironman Kona World Championship Finisher in 2016 and in 2022
- Ironman St. George World Championship 6th place in 2022
