Shelter in place order due to recent Covid-19 pandemic forced us to stay home but that gave me an opportunity to look for ways to maintain my fitness. One of my greatest discovery was an app called Down Dog. It offered free trial until April 1st which was extended to May 1st. This app has high level of customization to your comfort level with yoga, types of yoga, music, instructor’s voice, length of practice, area of body to focus on, etc. Thanks to my friend who put out Yoga Challenge that I decided to do yoga everyday for 15 days. I get to explore different choices with this app to keep the practice different everyday.
As you know, self-care is a very important part of our daily routine beside getting our workout done in order for us to stay injury free. Yoga helps us not only to stretch out muscle that gets tight but also to breath deeply to work on our diaphragm and calm our mind. I believe that even doing 15 minutes of yoga practice evey day would greatly enhance your fitness.
