Tasty snack for long bike ride

Have you ever played a game called Chinese Whisper at school or work for team building? You whisper words or a sentence to a person next to you and to the next and whichever the team passed it down quickly and correctly wins. Well, a variation of my favorite snack for a long bike ride was created just like that.

One day, I shared my favorite snack for the long bike ride to a friend as we pedaled. I said, “I put sunflower seed butter on a slice of whole wheat bread and Nutella on the other, sprinkle some Chia seeds, put sliced banana, and Whala! My favorite snack. ” My friend said, “that sounds yummy!” as she rode along. She then share that to another friend. The following weekend, when we were getting ready for another ride, they were talking how tasty the dates sandwich was, so I asked what they put on their sandwich. One of them said, “oh, remember you told me about your snack, I told her about it, and we both love it!”

My mind was wondering….. Hmmm, I heard them saying dates but I don’t put dates in my sandwich… So, I asked them what they put on their sandwich. They told me they put peanut butter, sprinkle some chia seeds and some dates. Hmmm, that sounds good and tasty, too! So, now I have 2 versions of snack for a long ride and they both make my heart and tummy happy. If these sound good to you, try them and let me now how you like them.
